At Truly Irish, we believe in giving back to our communities, especially when it comes to supporting those in need. That’s why we were thrilled to be recent sponsors at the Irish Grocers Benevolent Fund Fun Run, held at Mallow Racecourse on April 20th. This event not only promoted health and wellness but also raised crucial funds for a cause close to our hearts.
The Irish Grocers Benevolent Fund plays a vital role in providing assistance to retail families who may be facing financial hardship due to health issues or bereavement. With up to 200 families benefiting from their support, the impact of their work cannot be overstated. By sponsoring this event, we aimed to contribute to their noble cause and help make a difference in the lives of those in need.
The Fun Run itself was a resounding success, with over 150 enthusiastic runners showing their support for this worthy initiative. It was a day filled with camaraderie, community spirit, and, of course, plenty of sunshine. Our Commercial Director, Sharon Reale, was onsite to witness the event firsthand and was delighted to see the overwhelming turnout and the dedication of all the participants.
Every step taken and every mile run contributed to making a positive impact on the lives of others, embodying the true spirit of community support and compassion.
